In my own voice...

After graduating high school during the
mid to late 70's, I took art classes at Purdue University for two years.
I was interested in painting realism before there was even a name for it. Unfortunately, it was not what my professors had in mind and they discouraged me harshly.  I was told more than once, "If you want a photograph, TAKE a photograph".

Life continued on and like many people the busy work of living got in the way.  My art was put on hold to make room for jobs, raising a family, and just plain struggling to survive.
I always loved art and wanted to find time and the peace of mind to paint once again...
The passion never died.

I suffer from PTSD and c-PTSD
Thirty-five years have passed ... and finally
I am beginning to explore and express...
myself through art once again.

Painting, for me...
is my safe place to go.
